No rewards, but they keep some of the good stuff set aside for me. That's good enough in my book.

It's real. This place has a pretty big markup though so it's not that great.

192 ounces at a time? For real???? You can't buy a case of 24 bottles!!! It'll take you a month to stock up for a party!

The shop I got to has discounts on cases(any 24 beers) and you get a 10% discount after spending a certain amount.

The beer store I work at does a points program (1 point per $ spent) that works out to being a 5% discount and you get freebies the longer you save up points before redeeming them (koozie, pint glass, t-shirt, etc.)

In Edinburgh, visiting The Beer Hive and Cornelius is its own reward.

"Visits"? Or purchases? Hell, there are some stores I "visit" ("Can I help you find something?" "Nope, just browsing.") numerous times without buying anything.

And those are often the stores where I might see a new release and think, "Oh, so that finally hit the area? I have to go to [another shop with better prices and/or cold storage] and pick some up!"

I could definitely see "visiting" a shop 19 times and making a purchase on the 20th for 20% discount.:grinning:

My local bottle shop has a points program. Every 400 something points I get 15% off the total price. I've reached that at least 5 times since finding them.

I suppose that when the shop "puts aside" some of the new releases they know will sell out, a reward will be that I'm one of those few who gets one of these "withheld" beers.

But I hate that practice, or at least when they make it explicity known to you. "Well we only have a few bottles left, but those are...reserved...."

Yeah in PA, there are beer distributors that are allowed to sell as many cases as you want to buy. But there are also bottle shops which have a different set of rules and you can only buy 192 ounces at a time. Oh. and wine and liquor are sold at a separate state run store. and those stores don't sell mixers. so to throw a party, you have to stop at three different stores. As a Chicago transplant, I can unequivocally tell you that these rules are 'tarded.

You can buy a case at a beer distributor only. Take out is limited to 192 or 196 ounces.

    Enjoy

My local store is a country store with a decent bottle selection, they run for every 100$ you spend on anything in store you get a 5$ coupon for anything you want. Getting random things and lunch and beers in there 100$ adds up pretty quick.
