Bottle Shops / Beer Stores around the Shore? (NJ)

Court Liquors in Long Branch is great. Just be careful, I forgot to check dates before purchasing and ended up with a 4pack of Hercules that was over a year old this weekend.

 

I would go to Kane brewery. I know it isn't a store, but it is a great place to go to, and it isn't too far from where you are at.

 

Kane in Ocean Twp. (Monmouth County) is probably closer to the OP's home in eastern PA than it is to Ocean City, NJ (south of AC, in Cape May County) - which is pretty much 100 miles south of Kane. Ditto for a rec for a Long Branch store.

 

was going to say, you may as well just go back to Philly before going to the other places mentioned. I'm in LBI quite often and there are a few places on 70 (not sure how you go to get to OC) on the way down to stop and get some stuff that is not distributed to PA.

 

LBI and route 70 are no where near Ocean City

 

Im pretty clear on the geography of the jersey shore having surfed/fished/and boated from as far north as sea girt to Cape May for the past 10 years...but if the OP is coming from Landsdale it is possible to take a detour to 70 for part of the drive if not taking 70 to the parkway. I have a few friends from Lansdale and the Horsham area that will do this on occasion depending on traffic (in both directions). is it worth it or that beneficial, probably not, but its better than a ~1.5 hour drive from Ocean City up to Monmouth.

 

The best store I know of in the area is Canals on Fire Rd in EHT. It is right off exit 36 on the GSP

 

+1 to this suggestion. There is Circle Liquor in Somerset Point but their craft section is not that robust.

 

Circle Liquor & Canals are both decent. There's also Bootlegger's which is right near Canals. Those will be your best bets.
