I'm going to be in delray for the weekend in mid may and wanted to get some ideas of places to stop at while down there. Traveling from NJ and would love to try some great beers and also come home with some good stuff. I know I will def be heading to funky buddah. Any other suggestions on some places I should def try to get to? Thanks all

Delray is a great city. Tryst has solid food, atmosphere and smart beer list - my personal favorite. A more casual spot is Coffee District - they do both coffee and beer justice. Go to The Office for quantity. Those 3 are relatively close to each other, and there are other places on or off Atlantic Ave , even a mellow mushroom. I haven't been but the Saltwater Brewing Co is right in Delray off Atlantic as well. Due South is in Boynton. Definitely make the trip to the FB Brewery in Oakland Park, but the FB Lounge is also nearby in Boca.

Mess pretty much covered everything. If you want to visit a bottle shop to take beers back home, Total Wine has a Delray location and a pretty good selection.

Awesome thanks. Can I purchase bottles to bring home at both the funky Buddha brewery and the lounge?

Not sure about the lounge but the brewery in Oakland Park only has Hop Gun and Floridian 6 packs for sale, which can also be bought at just about any liquor store in the area as well as Publix, Whole Foods, etc for about $9.99. They also have growlers available of a few of their beers - mostly the regular lineup.

Any chances of stumbling across beers like mbcp or last snow or should I just expect to find the norm shelf beers from them at bottle shops. Not sure if those are long gone already

The bottles are long gone, but if you go by the brewery you might get lucky and the'll have it on tap. I was there Sunday and they had Last Snow.

Sorry to bring a thread back from the dead but I figured this would be better than starting an entirely new thread. To start off I have been visiting the Delray area for as long as I can remember and, as has been said, it is a great area.

Aside from the other locations mentioned above I wanted to give a shout out to Beer Trade Co. in Delray. The times I have been there the owner has been super nice and accommodating. Great location in a not-so-busy area of Delray.

I wanted to ask about other bottle shops in the area. I have been going to the TW in Boynton for years and the selection has been good but has never blown me away. Do they typically keep the limited releases behind the counter? Would they be generous if I simply asked what they had behind the counter? Are there any other good bottle shops within a 15-20 minute drive?

I will be in Delray the week after the fourth as well as the week before Labor Day. I will be traveling with SO in August/September. We plan on bringing a 2015 DL to trade/share and can bring additional bottles if anyone might be willing to trade.
