    Hey everyone,

I'm in Hilton Head, South Carolina for the week and possibly driving to Savannah for a day as well. Any good bottle shops in the area worth visiting? I usually only see Midwest distro so any suggestions on where to go to bring some gems back home would be much appreciated- thanks everyone!

If you make it into Savannah the biggest selection, IMO, would be either of the Habersham Beverage locations. Whole Foods also has a good bit, but typically very similar to Habersham with maybe a few differences.

Westbrook cans should be easy to find (IPA, One Claw, White Tai, Gose).
    SweetWater selection is readily available.
Terrapin selection is readily available (the Maggie's Blackberry Cobbler just hit stores this week).
If you can find some Orpheus Transmigration of Souls, I would highly recommend it (DIPA).
Unfortunately Creature Comforts has not made it down this way yet that I have found, so no Tropicalia.

Not sure what else you are on the lookout for, but if you have any questions of what can be found at Habersham Beverage I may be able to help out.

Thank you so much, that is great information and I appreciate the help!

Not sure if I will be able to make it into Savannah but hoping to do so for a day. Please let me know if anyone has any recommendations for Hilton Head Island area!

    Thanks again everyone!

    Hello @Etramps21

The best places will be Kroger and Whole Foods on Hilton Head.

As of Sunday both places had bottles of Boy King Bottled (06/09/2015).

At both locations you can get plenty of Coast/Westbrook goodies. Maine Beer company is available too.

If your on HHI and you want the best beer selection go to either of those places. If you want to drink on site go to The Lodge.

Sadly there is not too much else.

Create comforts has been in Savannah (both cans and draft) but that was very limited and came and went in a flash.

If there was anything specific you were looking for I could help point you in the right direction.

If you have the time, you can come across the bridge from Hilton Head right into downtown Savannah (via HWY 17) and the nearest Habersham Beverage location is only a few miles away from the Historic District. If you've never been before, wandering around River St and some of the Historic District would be a good way to spend a day.

Yes, been in the Savannah area for about 11 years now. It has been nice to have some great local breweries pop up in Service Brewing Co., Southbound Brewing Co., and Coastal Empire Beer Co. We do get the short end of the GA distribution stick with most everything going through Atlanta and then Macon prior to making it to us. Seems like a lot of the rare stuff never makes it down our way with those two markets eating up most of the GA allotment.
