Hello all, I have a friend who will be working on and off again in Amsterdam in the coming months. She said she will gladly pick me up anything I want. Can anyone suggest any decent bottle shops? A place with Cantillon would be great, but are there any local beers we can't get in the US I should have her look for?

I did a search but didn't find a ton of info on stores. Sorry if this has been asked before

Bierkoning, best store in the country. They often have harder to find lambic as well as loads of Dutch stuff.

Bierkoning, they always have the "normal" Cantillons and occasionally the limited releases. Otherwise, for Dutch stuff that you can't get in the US, I'd say mainly De Molen/Emellisse but also Kees/ Het'uiltje or Kaapse.

Check out Sterk located at the corner of De Clerqstraat and S100 is a fantastic store. Tons of European brews, local hard-to-find Dutch crafts, and crafts from BeNeLux and the UK. Great service and knowledgable staff, as well.

Everyone will say de Bierkoning but Sterk is actually really good as well and quite a bit cheaper in my experience. Especially when you want some local (Dutch) beers!

I was in a shop with a decent European selection and some nice wee US things near Vondelpark, just off Overtoom. From what I remember the owners wife said that he was Scottish. Can't remember what I bought or exactly where it is, I'm sure a local could help further.

Sterk is really nice and comes handy at night (at is it a night shop), otherwise, you can check the BeerTree too.

Like everyone else has been saying, Bierkoning. I was in Amsterdam in October and they had something like 5-7 different Cantillon offerings.
