I'm traveling to Atlanta for a couple days on November 7th and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good bottle shops. I'm staying at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel. I looked around and found a couple shops--Vinings and Tobacco and Rum--but I don't know how good they are. I won't have any transportation and limited time, so shops within walking distance would be much appreciated.
Honestly, in that area your best bet is Smyrna World of Beverage... it's probably the closest shop to your hotel with a solid selection. A cab ride over there from your hotel won't break the bank. There's some other good options in Midtown & on the West side, but they'll be more expensive cab rides. Guess it depends on how much you're will to drop to get there.
Agreed. Smyrna World is pretty damn good for being in the 'burbs, with a selection that rivals several "better" intown stores.
