So I'm honeymooning in Colorado and plan on spending a good amount of money on beer I can't get in the midwest. Wife isn't going to like stopping at every liquor store I spot while we are there so I would like to know what places are the "Must go" in Denver and Boulder. Can't wait to go get some of the good stuff
In Boulder: Boulder Wine & Spirits (next to Safeway)- best stop for hard to find singles. Whole Foods- good prices, pretty good selection all round. Hazel's- good prices, good pick six, has everything local, is HUGE. Liquor Mart- best pick six, huge selection, lots of glassware.
Mile High in Lakewood gets all the rare stuff. Check out their FB page as they post pics. River North by Coors Field might be worth a stop if you want some small batch barrel aged stuff that you can take home (they sell bottles). Lukas & Davidson's down South are solid. Lukas posts their new hauls weekly on their beer blog. The newly opened Crooked Stave tasting room is probably a must stop too now if you like sours, barrel aged stuff.
