Hey gang, I'm going to be down in Dallas for a few days this month. Wondering if anyone had any recommendations for bottle shops? Particular ones that might appreciate me bringing some New Glarus down with me.

    Thanks!

Hello. Depending on what part of twon you stay in, you will have some places that are closer than others. Places like the Bottle Shop, Whole Foods and Craft and Growler are places where you can fill growlers to go. Places like Lonestar Beverages, Specs, Halls, Total Wine are good places to buy beers. Places like the Common Table, Goodfriend and the Meddlesome Moth are places that have a good beer tap selection.

Check out the Dallas Brew Scene website for all the info on breweries, shops, bars, etc.

Look up lonestar beverages in Carrollton and contact those guys. I know they'd appreciate it since they just posted how excited they were to get some NG from a friend today. Those are good guys and they've got a lot of good stuff stashed away.

I'll be staying in Richardson but will be downtown a bunch, as well. Thanks for the tips, guys, I'll definitely check out those places when I'm down there. Cheers!

Cant say enough good things about Craft and Growler, as mentioned above. And great owner(s). Also, you could ride the train to the front door, with one transfer.

Also a great Growler fill system. I opened a 5 week old growler of W00tStout last night, plenty of carb, tasted great.

Does the map function in the Dallas Brew Scene contain any data on beer bars, breweries and beers stores? I have tried to view it in both IE and Firefox and all I get is a blank map of the Metroplex.

Yeah, map didn't seem to be working for me as well. Either way, I'll definitely be making a stop to Lonestar Beverages and having dinner at Meddlesome Moth. Lookin forward to it, thanks again for the tips!

If you can, go to Lonestar on a Friday between 5-7pm, they do a beer tasting, always a good time!

Do any stores have a good selection of singles close to downtown?

Best bet for singles will probably be Whole Foods, Central Market, or Total Wine. I believe Central Market still allows you to break 6-packs, but that may depend on the store.

CM does and it drives me insane. It's a sea of singles scattered around after a busy spell.
