Making a trip down to New Orleans with some friends this weekend and was wondering if anyone knew the best spot to track down some bottles. I just moved from Austin to OKC so was wondering if there are any must grabs outside of TX & OK distro. Thanks in advance and Cheers!

Stein's Deli near the corner of Jackson and Magazine. Check out the Southern Prohibition Barley Legal. There's only 900 bottles out from the Mississippi brewery and they all went to Louisiana because of the high alcohol content. Be sure to read Egad Bananas beer guide to New Orleans and the North Shore. Don't miss the Avenue Pub on lower St. Charles. You can get to it by streetcar.

Thanks for the tips man...we're going to be staying near the Algier's Point ferry and it looks like we're going to be pretty close to everything. I'll definitely hit up the spots you suggested...thanks again!

When you're walking through the Quarter, be sure to drop by Sydney's Wine Cellar on Decatur. They have a pretty good singles selection and you can get a plastic cup for your "walking beer." If you're uptown, try to get by the NOLA brewery on the corner of 7th and Tchoupitoulas. They have a taproom that offers things that bars and stores don't have.
