In OKC for a homebrew course this weekend. Hoping to find some Vanilla Noir or Pirate Noir while I'm up here. Can anyone recommend good bottle shops to visit while in the area? Thanks!
Oklahoma City Places <- Here is a list of places for OKC, someone from that area may have better advice, I highly recommend checking out James E. McNellie's Public House if you get a chance. If it is anywhere as good as the one in Tulsa you will be happy, shows now that they have Christmas Bomb on tap . Are you also going to Tulsa?
Just a heads, both VNoir and PNoir are ghosts. They've been gone for a while now, at least in OKC. I doubt you'll have much better luck in Tulsa. Us Okie beer nerds are greedy . Your best bet will be some BA Bomb!, but even that is becoming tough to come by, and I'm pretty sure TX will be getting their allotment soon. Good luck!
Grrrrr! Was afraid that may be the case. Thanks for the heads up and the link, nonetheless! Planning to make a pit stop at the Brewery today. Hoping they may be able to point me in the right direction... But won't hold my breath
Vanilla & Pirate Noir are pretty much nonexistent at this point. Just go to McNellie's (or TapWerks if you must), Byron's Liquor Store, Pub-W in North OKC, The Patriarch, or Skinny Slims in Edmond (especially if the limey Graham is there since he's the owner).
Went to Freeman's. No luck finding Pirate Noir or Vanilla Noir... but got a few bottles of Ape Snake and BA BOMB! Appreciate the suggestions from everyone here. Enjoyed my time in Oklahoma. Looking forward to the next visit. Hook'em!
Glad to see you made it out alive Texas brother!! JK... I have family up in OKC and travel up there a ton, just stay away from Norman ;-)
Nice haul on BAB and Ape! I got a couple BAB (on my way to two cases ) from Freeman's too, great shop.
Check out Owasso Liquor and Wine. Last week they still had some vanilla noir, regular whisky barrel noir, and wine barrel noir. No more pirate noir there though.
