Can anyone name any good bottle shops in Sarasota, other than ABC? I'm not sure what the distribution is looking like for Jester King down there these days, but does anyone in Sarasota carry them? Otherwise I'm looking for a good place that has some rarer Prairie and Cigar City, if any. And yes, I know CCB is in Tampa, but the significant other won't be stopping at the brewery, so I'll have to direct her to a good shop. If anyone can also name some good IPAs/pales ales and BA beers that I might not be able to get up here in Wisconsin, I'm all ears! Thanks in advance.

A lot of info in this recent string. And here. There's a Total Wine right next to CCB, which is really close to Tampa International. There's also a Total Wine at the University Parkway exit along I-75 on the north side of Sarasota.

I don't know what "rarer" stuff will be around. Here's a range of some local/Florida beers -- leading off with IPAs and pale ales -- that's likely readily available at a Total Wine in cans (for the beach and to bring home): CCB Jai Alai IPA, CCB Invasion (pale ale), Intuition I-10 IPA, Big Storm Arcus IPA, Tampa Bay Brewing's Reef Donkey (super-good American pale ale at 5.5%); CCB's Florida Cracker (a Belgian white); Bold City's Killer Whale (cream ale) adnd Duke's (brown ale); Intuition Jon Boat (golden ale) and People's Pale Ale; and 3 Daughters' Beach Blonde. I know Funky Buddha has expanded its distribution outside South Florida; it would be worth looking for their stuff.

    That's great, thanks!
