What ones do you guys find, and what do you think of them? I'll start with mine: 1. Total Wine (Boca Raton), HUGE selection, friendly staff, seems like they are getting more beer recently. The Stone 10th was on the shelf for weeks, and good gourd for at least a whole week. They also about doubled the size allocated for beer and are getting CCB regulars in much more often. 2. Crown wine n Spirits (Pompano Beach) Pretty small selection, always have ommegang, southern tier(dunno about pumking though), they used to have Storm King but stopped stocking it. 3. 67 Wine n Spirits (pompano) - These guys are a smaller operation and a little pricier than the others, but they seem to get special beers more often. I haven't been in a while but back last year they had lots of Zhukov when TW had none. I used to go alot but I find TW is fulfilling my needs now and at a cheaper price. 4. Davie's Discount Liquor (davie, duh) - This is a gem! They have stuff like DFH: WWS and other very special releases, I haven't EVER seen WWS or 120minute at TW, only 67. It's a bit out of my way but I have a friend who works near it. And they are out of Cucumber Saison =( Those are the only spots I know of. I rarely go down to the city though, Miami just seems like too much of a PITA to drive around there, but I might be acting thick-headed in this regard.
Hey man. My list is: 1. Stop and Shop in Miami (near UM) is probably the best beer shop in South Florida. The owner is awesome. The beer selection is great. He tends to over order, so beers that are required to be fresh, you should look elsewhere, but if it is a beer that can be aged, check this place out. Prices are a little high, though. 2. Total Wine Boca. Finally starting to get more CCB beers in, which is nice. AS you said, the selection has doubled. I live near the mall, so it is a 2 minute drive for me, which is also nice. 3. Whole Foods Boca. Decent selection. They just expanded their beer area, as well. 4. Bx Beer Depot. This is in Lantan (or Lake Worth, I forgot). Small store, mainly for homebrewing, but they have a decent selection of beer. 5. Crown on Sunrise and Federal Highway. I think this has a better selection than the Crown on 14th and Federal. I have to try the Davie store. never been there.
Cork&Bottle in Kendall. It's not a huge selection but it's a good one. Lots of bombers, a decent cold 6 selection, mix 6 packs, and they have 15 or 20% off on sundays. Friendly people too. sunset corners. - Big selection and knowledgeable staff Stop & Shop- UM is much better than the lejeune spot.
