hey guys flying into Denver next Friday in the am with a 3 hour layover anyone know of so cool battleshops close to the airport? Looking for crooked stave or any other awesome Denver breweries thanks
The airport is prety far from a lot of the good stuff in Denver, but a quick little Yelp search found this place. Maybe give them a call before heading there, but they seem to have a pretty good selection and aren't too far from the airport. Maybe some locals can give some better insight. http://www.gateway-liquor.com/
Unfortunately, there's not much out that way, you'd have to come into town for a good selection. Three hours is cutting it close for that
Gateway would be the closest and the best. But don't expect any specialty bottles. They get good regular shelf stuff, but nothing fancy. They do have some Crooked Stave beers in their bomber room. Open @ 10AM Depending on the time you arrive, Green Valley Ranch Beer Garden is along the way, sometimes they have a few good local beers. Again, nothing fancy. They open @ 11AM If you're here @ noon, Dry Dock's North Dock opens their tap room which is just down the road from Gateway Liquors. You can Crowler up on some beers. They also still have '14 Bligh's in the fridge.
hmm, here's a void that needs to be filled. Somebody needs to put a little craft bottle shop in the airport.
There's always this: http://www.westword.com/restaurants...-craft-beer-spirits-wine-opens-at-dia-6895425
Not that it's anything impressive or extensive, but that's already been done http://www.coloradoan.com/story/eatdrink/2015/07/10/craft-beer-go-denver-airport/29965003/
