I am going to be in the Norfolk area for about a week, and I am looking for some good bottle shops to score some good brews. Looking for some solid suggestions. Thanks in advance.

In Norfolk proper, there's a Total Wine on 21st. Within a block or 2 of the TW, there's bottleBOX (faces 20th St., though it's given a 21st St. address) and exceptionALE (on Colonial). Both smaller, but carry a bit "rarer" stuff than TW.

If you wanna venture out on the interstate, there's also a huge Total Wine at Hilltop in Va Beach, but it's a hike. There's also Grape and Gourmet in Virginia Beach (Va. Beach Blvd) and Mix It Up on Shore Drive.

I'd also add that there are 5 breweries in a cluster right in Norfolk: O'Connor, Smartmouth, Bold Mariner, Coelacantch, and Rip Rap. And the Birch is a pretty awesome bar.

MistaRyte pretty much covered it. I would add that if you are here for a week (assuming you have a car) I would suggest finding the time to hit up Grape & Gourmet, it isn't far and would be worth it.

Just saw that they opened a new shop deep downtown on Main St. called Corks and Caps. Prob ably going to do a recon mission today on a work break.

Just got back, not much on the shelf, but they just opened. Quick place to pop over to if you need Hardywood or Lickinghole Creek stuff.
