I'm heading to Pizza Boy this weekend and wondering if there are any bottles shops worth checking out in the area? Thanks!
Selection isn't bad at pizza boy, but their prices seemed high (this coming from a DC area guy who stopped by).
Depends on what you call 'close by'. Wegmans in Mechanicsburg has nothing rare but a decent selection. Grain + Verse in New Cumberland has a limited selection but is very pricy. Federal Taphouse in Harrisburg gets some good bottles also with bar prices. Anything you're looking for specifically?
Thanks...also, heading up from DC area.. guessing they only sell their own product in the Pizza Boy bottle shop?
thanks! not looking for anything specific. just looking to find some interesting stuff that I can't get in the DC area.
Thanks for the responses. I will probably be tight on time when visiting..Any suggestions on what I should be looking for in growlers? I know I'll be looking to try some sours but anything else that they do really well with?
As Shane pointed out they've got a nice selection of both 4/6 packs in a five door cooler as well as single bottles by the door. They've got Eternal Sunshine on which is a sour. Their Murren River is a fantastic IPA. Bring some 32/64oz growlers as they will fill some Tired Hands growlers but not crowlers.
Yes, Pizza Boy has a nice selection. Also, Wegmans has some cheap 6 packs which isn't too far from Pizza Boy. I saw Susquehanna's Hopcellerator in a 6er for $8.99. Apparently it's delicious and pretty cheap.
