I apologize if this has been covered before, search feature isn't working well for me on mobile. Are there any bottle shops or good craft beer locations near Universal Studios Hollywood? I'll be staying at the Hilton and would like to pick up a few standard CA distributed beers that I can't get in GA. Thanks for the help!
About 4 miles away Ringside Liquors in Studio City is my go-to local bottle shop. Also, a little further down the road Valley Beverage Co. in Sherman Oaks is decent but over priced.
Vendome is awesome, as @J-loco suggested. If you have time for a beer, you're also not too far from Tony's in Burbank or Blue Palms in Hollywood, and Stout Studio City and Spitz are both very close and tend to have some decent options (Stout more so than Spitz, usually). You may even be able to take public transit to Blue Palms if you don't have a car - perhaps someone here more subway-savvy than myself can chime in about that (or there's always google maps).
Also note there's another Vendome just up the street closer to Universal than the one I listed but that one has a tiny selection and isn't really great at all.
From Universal Studios to Blue Palms, you just take the tram down the hill, walk across the street to the train station. Get on the red line going to Union station. Get off 2 stops at Hollywood/Vine and walk a block east (take a right out of the station). About as easy as you can do.
Thanks to everyone who offered advice. I was able to make it to Vendome on Riverside today via an Uber ride and ended up just walking the 1.5 miles back to the hotel with a backpack full of beer. Overall I'm pretty excited about what I was able to pick up and it is currently loaded into my suitcase for the flight back to GA.
