Hey guys I know of a few places in Wheeling (liquor barn, binnys) but I was wondering if there are any other shops in the area that have great selections?
Liquor Barn is the only one I'm aware of in Wheeling proper. Binny's in Buffalo Grove and Arlington Heights. Beyond that, there's Teddy's in Arlington Heights and Whole Foods in Northbrook & Palatine. Otis & Lee in Northbrook is a tiny strip-mall convenience store with a surprisingly huge craft beer selection and some hidden gems. Evolution in Northbrook has a pretty meager selection, but I did get a Double DBA there a week ago, long after it disappeared elsewhere. That's it for places I've found in the area that get craft, aside from your average supermarkets. Hope that helps.
Some other good stores in the surrounding area, worth a short drive imho: Prestige in Des Plaines (6 mi. south), Dobbys in Palatine (6 mi. west), Binny's Highland Park (6.5 mi. east), Dicarlo's in Mundelein (7 mi. north).
