If you're willing to travel a little extra (20-30 min each way, but after the trip you're taking... probably worth it), Cable Beverages had some last time I was there (June/July?). Any Rockland BAs know if they still have any BCBS in stock?

He's going from Rochester all the way to Peekskill. Brewster is a goddamn puddle jump at that point. Only adds 30 min to his trip back to Albany and is 100% worth it.

According to the Beer Menus website, they have 4 packs of it still. It says it was updated today. Here's to hoping it still there when I go in 2 and a half weeks! Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, this is a strictly beer road trip- the original trip was just Rochester to Albany to visit family- but I am taking quite the loop southwards to make it to Peekskill Brewing, so time is clearly not of the essence here. It'll be a nice, lazy Sunday on the road to some great beer.

More like an hour, and I guess you're right what is an extra hour when you can find at least 20 bottles that Half Time doesn't carry.

Definitely call ahead before going. Cable's beermenu page is not accurate. Cable is a nice store with nice people, but it is a hole in the wall that will be out of the way - it's on the other side of the river from all of the other much better places. Beware of old beer if you go.

Pawling Beer and Soda had Bourbon Coffee a few months ago. It's a small place with fewer geek shoppers. Out of the way and probably little there to interest you, but call and ask if they still have it.

You characterize it as a lazy Sunday, but you'll run out of time before you know it with too many destinations and Sunday store hours. Plan accordingly.

I have found that for some stores even though the page had been updated recently doesnt mean everything on the list is up to date.

If you're looking for Bourbon County Stout, Beer World in Catskill (right on rt 9W, very close to the thruway) still has multiple cases.like 8 or 9.

Not trying to threadjack, but this is at least vaguely related. Heading up to Spring Glen tomorrow from NYC and looking for any shops along the way. I am hitting Peekskill for fills and then Rushing Duck (they do fills I'm guessing?) but are there any shops in the area worth a salt? Some of these that you guys are mentioning here might be a bit too far outta the way for the rest of the people in the car to want to bother with.

If you going to stop at Beer World which is a good beer store maybe 5 minutes off the Thruway then take the extra 10 minutes and head up to Crossroad Brewery in Athens Outrage IPA is a very good beer.
