I'm pn Long Island for a couple of days. Out in Hampton Bays and will be driving back to the city, so essentially anything between South Hampton to Queens and not too far off of the 27 or Long Island Expressway would be great. In search of a bottle shop with harder to come by stuff, not just the local options.

I second Bellport. I'm not there often, but they always treat me like an old friend.

i'm just as lazy as the next guy, but believe it or not, the search function isn't all that bad...give it a try. "Long Island" produces these gems:

    http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/buying-beer-way-out-on-long-island.14769/#post-177140

there are more, but like i said, i'm as lazy as the next guy...hope that helps...or you can just stick with the 2 suggestions that this thread produced as they aren't bad, but if you dig through search you might find a few SOLID suggestions that people prefer not to mention

As many good shops as there are in LI the beers they seem to carry differ from shop to shop, if I were you I would use Beermenus.com and just search for particular beers. That's what I do. If your just looking to browse the aforementioned links would do the trick.
