So I finally accumulated enough cellarable beers to necessitate buying a small fridge. Due t the shape of the fridge, I can fit much more in it by laying bombers down on their sides as apposed to storing them upright. Are there any potential problems with this? I know that many beers should be stood up a while before consumption, but I just want to make sure no undesirable effects will result from storing beer this way.

If they're corked and caged sideways shouldn't be a problem. If they're capped it could be for long term aging as more interaction with the cap increases oxidization.
