Bottled B&B Liquid Brain = THIS WEEK.

FYI, I went by B & B earlier today to grab some bottles. Got there around 4, had a few beers, starting with some Hop Slap. Damn, very nice DIPA, would drink again. Then had a St. Louis Gueuze Fond Tradition from Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck, apparently they were doing a tap takeover? Anyway, it was a delicious gueuze, very much enjoyed it.

But, that point of my rambling is that I asked about the Liquid Brain, told me it was sold out. As I was finishing up, I overheard the bartenders talking about 5 more cases coming in, so as I was paying I asked and she said that yeah, 5 more cases just arrived for sale, you want some? Ummm...yes? Don't you remember when I came in and asked about it right when I sat down (kind of annoyed by that, if I come in and ask and am told it's sold out, but then it arrives while I'm still sitting there, don't you think I'd want to know?!?) So if you want some, I'd suggest getting over there asap.

 

Like ASak10, I went to B&B yesterday. Arrived at 12:30PM and they had 20 bottles left. I bought 3. While I was there, somebody was on the phone asking about it. So between 12:30PM and 4:00PM, they sold about 17 bottles.

Edit: I flippin HATE driving on Colorado Blvd in that area.

 

It IS literally the worst.

I'm going to be honest, I didn't know what to expect but that beer is a homerun. Lots of bourbon and chocolate, not so much coffee roast which is a nice spin. It's really worth going out of your way for a bottle.

 

Highlands Wine/Liquor has some, just came in
They also have full shelves of 2012 AC Golden Apricot, Peach and Cystatart....stout...
I passed those up and got B/B, Uncle J, Oil Man and Stone's Matt's Burning Rosids

 

Is anywhere in the burbs getting this or is it only Denver proper? I haven't heard of Lukas or Davidsons having any.

 

Lukas didn't have it on their sale list for Saturday. Hit me up if you need one.

 

I got 3 at the brewery yesterday afternoon, around 1:30PMish.
Drinking the LB now. It's very good. It smells like those chocolate candies shaped like liquor bottles with bourbon inside. The taste is similar: sweet, the bourbon is prominent but not overwhelming. I would like a little more viscosity, but it's not thin, it still has a solid body to it.

I'll age one for a year and share the other. If they got more in I might grab 1 or 2 more to send to friends.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I was able to pick one up this morning along with some Dirt Wolf.

 

This still around at any shops or at B&B? Rolling through Denver today and looking to grab a bottle if possible.

 

Check Joy Wine and Spirits, I bought one there Friday.
