I will be in N LA (Sylmar) in mid March and would love to find some bottles of Pliny. Any suggestions?
It seems like RR's focus has been on Younger recently, since most of the usual places haven't had a shipment in awhile. But that should change by mid-March. Check out Vendome's Pasadena location (they update their Facebook regularly with new arrivals). It's on tap regularly at Tony's Darts Away in the Burbank area if you're just looking to drink it.
Hopefully once the Younger craze is over that they'll get back to shipping Pliny. My Total Wines has a sign on their from door, "No Pliny". It appears as if they are tired of people asking for it!
There are no guarantees when it comes to Pliny. It shows up semi-weekly and is typically sold out the same day. You'll need hope that they get a shipment during one of the days you're here. You could start to look up some of the stores in that area and follow them on Instagram/Facebook (if possible) and see what days the stores post.
