Hey I'm gonna be visiting Oakland and was curious where to go for bottle shopping? Looking to get stuff like Almanac and Alpine and any limited release stuff around from FW, The Bruery etc.

The Good Hop in Berkeley stocks good bottles. CRAFT in Alameda is also a solid spot.

Beer Revolution in Oakland, and as mentioned above, The Good Hop in Berkeley both have good selections. You won't find Alpine bottles in the Bay Area though.

Thanks for the advice - is there a Good Hop in Berkeley? I only found the one in Oakland when searching.

Apologies. The Good Hop is in Oakland, not Berkeley. I was thinking of Ledgers in Berkeley.

The Good Hop is a nice place, decent bottle selection and some nice taps. Open after 3pm. Leders in Berkeley is good if always disorganized. Trappist Provisions in Oakland has a small, expensive but nice selection. Whole Foods in Oakland isn't horrible either.
Best bottle shop in the area is probably Berkeley Bowl West

Star Market on Claremont often has some fun stuff

Good point, make sure you look carefully too, he frequently mixes bottles from the same brewery in the same line on the shelf -- Cascade Kriek in front of a Noyeaux in front of a Blackcap, etc.
