It's not tap that's good in the UK, it's cask. There's all the difference in the world between them. Kegs are essentially big bottles or cans.

    Taps for me.

And for everyone saying that bottles are better for the sense that they are or could be aged, ok I understand if you are going for some vintage or big-ass russian imperial sour barleywine...but, really, how often are you drinking stuff like that at a bar? I personally don't want to drink something like that at a bar.

MOST beer is meant to be consumed fresh. This whole obsession with every beer except IPA's needing to have age on it is ridiculous to me. Yeah, I have some beers in a cellar, but nothing but imperial stouts, barleywines, and sours. They are waiting to be consumed amongst friends at someone's house. Beers in a bar are not. They are there for social lubrication, and 99% of the time, I'm not looking for some rare vintage overpriced bullshit; it's expensive enough at the liquor store - I don't want to pay the bar's markup for something already so pricey. Give me something easily drinkable, tasty, reasonably priced, and on tap please.

If it's on tap, the lines better be clean and it better be a beer I want to drink as fresh as possible.

If age on the beer isn't a factor or is beneficial, definitely a bottle.

If I had to pick one, bottle all day.

Canned beer always tastes a bit flat to me. For example, I like the flavor of Dale's PA but it's just too damn under-carbed. Just cracked a Jollly Pumpkin/Maui collab beer and it's crazy flat too. I like that cans are cheap but they haven't sold me yet.

Give me a bottle conditioned bottle.
