After a good 8 years, we're headed back to Brooklyn ( South Slope) to visit the in laws. Unlike last time, there's two jetlagged ankle biters in tow, so I'm looking for recommendations on shops in the area that would sell single cans/bottles rather than full 4/6 packs of local beers. I've got Threes on my radar, and while I'm not into hazies or their shtick, a trip to Other Half is plausible. Are there any other new breweries to look out for for fans of WCIPAs, clean lagers, saisons and any places to avoid if you don't like hazies/ pastry/Jamba juice beers?
Wild East does some solid WCIPAs/Saisons and great lagers, they're a few blocks away from Threes and I'd recommend them over Threes.
Holy fucking fuck, I can not thank you enough for this recommendation. Where the fuck did these guys come from, and why aren't more people talking about them? Coming from Oregon, my expectations for quality lagers is very, very high, but fuck, these guys exceeded all I hoped to try. Ramble is a fucking work of art. If you can't tell, I'm 8 beers deep at Wild East already.
I went to Wild East today because of this post. I hadn't been since shortly after it opened. Everything I had phenomenal. Ordered States Kriek was ridiculous.
