Bottleshops in Manhattan (Tribeca)

    My wife will be going to Manhapnin this wknd and looking for some insight on where to go..specifically Tribeca. She won't have a car so I have specified the 3 places that are closest to where she will be. I am interested in sour, seasonal and stouts.


    Between WF, New Beer, and Good Beer who has the "best" local (east coast) offerings?
    Within her list, I have included southern tier pumking as that seems like it is readily available.

    This list contains breweries that don't make it to CA. such as HF, MBC, Capt. Lawrence, Lawsons, Odell, Cigar City, Founders.. just to name a few. I have also listed some imports such as 3F oude geuze, Cantillion, but would rather have a list of semi confirmed "on hand" so that I don't have her going on a wild goose chase.

    Soo...within the list above, I will offer a box of gratitude if you can do the following.

    Supply a list of 5 must have beers that are guaranteed on hand at one of the above mentioned shops. I am open to all things unavailable in CA so feel free to include them. Send me a BM of 5 beers from 3 locations above and whoever comes closest to her scoring all 5 gets a gift in the mail.

    The best selections are going to be at Whole Foods and New Beer - New Beer is great but if she is not a beer geek the searching for interesting things might not be to her liking... If she is not a craft beer nut then the Whole Foods might be more her style (single small domestic bottles are no longer in the beer section but close to the registers and cheese where you check out in the main store).

    Good Beer is also nice but smaller in selection and just a touch more expensive.

    Thanks for all the tips!!! This helps out tremendously.
    Looks like she should be able to stay busy at WF.
    She will be coming back on Sunday, So I will report back with her haul, unless she decides to ship.
