Is it coming soon? I haven't heard or seen anything. Does it generate the excitement that it used to? I'll be there if I know when it is.

Is it really an Alpine beer?

Whatever it is, I am looking forward to it. They are always good breweries.

Whatever it is, I hope they don't jack up the price after the first week like they did last year. I believe they still have many cases of Lost Abbey BW 15th out on the floor.

Last years was a mess. Fucking drain pour. Mine got more sour over the year? Can't believe I have another one.

Heard rumor of a RAM Northgate Gin Barrel Baltic Porter.......again just hearsay.

They usually pour it on draft the day of release so you always know what you are getting into.

When I was there over the weekend, easily 5 cases up front, and saw another 5-10 cases when walking back to the bathroom.

If that's the case, then what did the BW guys go down to Alpine to make? Brouwer's Anniversary beer? Nothing at all and they're just messing with people?

I was pretty certain it was an Alpine beer, not sure on style.

As for last years, one of the few beers my wife really loved (I didn't hate it, but not my favorite). I was going to go back and buy like 6, but then they jacked the price, so I said no thanks. Decided to trade for more Vanilla Framinghammer (her favorite beer) to appease her.

Went back and checked BW's Twitter feed.

11/7/14 8:22 am-- Hitting the road this morning to go brew Bottleworks XVI
11/7/14 10:53 am -- Mash Time. (picture of a mash kettle)
11/7/14 12:33 pm -- Ouch (picture of a safety label for a pellet mill machine or something)

The Tweets don't have a location on them. [shrug]

Two Beers did a gin botanical porter that was actually pretty good.

I want to drink Alpine IPA's as much as the next guy, but I don't understand the concept of a bottleshop celebrating an anniversary by having a beer brewed by a brewery that contributed $0 to their overall success for the year. The same would obviously be true for the Ram suggestion above, which sounds awful and certainly wouldn't sell well. That can't be right.

What's the deal with them always using out of state breweries?

They started out with local breweries, but I'm sure it's more exciting to go with a bigger name out of state brewery.

Indeed. The sign outside of Bottleworks today said so. I didn't take a picture. (I should have).

Also, Bottleworks XV was in the "vintage" fridge for $22 as well as a stack of bottles to the left of the counter. I think this is the first time they've come down on their price (aside from the 1st day price).

How on earth could they land on Ram? I've never been to a Ram, had a Ram beer, and that doesn't appear to be changing. Could there have been a worse 'local' brewery to choose?
