Did I completely miss it somehow or has it still not made it to Texas? I'm in DFW if it matters.

It definitely hasn't been sold in Texas. Not sure if it is going to make it here or not.

Yeah, I just know it was supposed to at some point. Stone said it was, and the TABC approved the label almost 2 months ago.

This was in the Festina Peche thread, concerning Austin:

"CM westgate tried to put this out quietly, fat chance. I got a few with some still on the shelves. Also got the last tart lychee which prompted the sales guy to put out...bottleworks 13! Come and get them kids."

Saw it at Halls and Market Street in Colleyville last week. Should be in the usual places by now in DFW.

Found some at Beer and Wine World in Mansfield and Dr. Jekyll's in Arlington. Personally, not a fan...at least, not at this point. Burnt Rubber, maybe? Likely will improve with some age.

I picked up a bottle at CM Westgate about an hour ago.

Feel the same way dude...pretty disappointing. Scrambled to get my hands on a bottle and ended up hating it...couldn't finish the bomber. Don't have a 2nd bottle to sit on but there's an underlying flavor that I don't think any amount of age will improve. Burnt rubber would be an accurate description....

Got to agree with you, lokieman. I did manage to finish the bottle, but only with the assistance of some very ripe Camembert. It's an unfocused mess of sweetness, bitterness and... I think burnt rubber is a pretty good description. Not pleasant at all, but hell, I paid for it and it's 11% so I want my moneys worth.

I bought 2 bottles and regret it now. This beer is a drain pour. Took a few sips and that's all I could take. Whatever they were trying to do obviously did not work. Maybe with 10 years on my 2nd bottle it will be drinkable? For some reason all the malts and hops just didn't come together.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I really enjoyed it. Lots going on, and it was fun to pick apart the various flavors.
