Worth the price of admission, and much more enjoyable than bw12 in my opinion.

My opinion: BW 14 is not very soured and the port barrel and bourbon are both noticeable with the port being the most noticeable. Smooth, well carbonated. The 11.95% abv is not noticeable and it is honestly my favorite beer Cascade has made. Is it worth $30? No. $23? Yes. I still picked up the full allotment but mainly because it really was enjoyable. I'm just not sure many beers are worth $30 (from the States).

    Cheers all,
    Ryan

    What does that mean?

EDIT: I misread this; thought he was saying bottles would later be priced @ $65... which I'm sure eventually they will be.

Cost of three bottles and a draft? I plan on spending that amount after work.

    Two bottles and a draught.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how much depth this one has. It's sweeter than I expected, which is good for those of us hoping to avoid another cascade shock tart beer. Matt also said the bottles are a little sweeter and more acidic, somehow, and would dry out after some time.

If you plan on spending that amount, then expect to walk out with only two bottles. Not including tax either.

I am willing to bet that in a year or so it will be worth the $30, at least that was my impressions from the draught glass I had.

Died down quite a bit, no line now. Seems like plenty of bottles left for the after work crowd.

I got my math wrong on that, beer is on the mind.

Got mine at lunch, line gone but still crowded with a lot of folks enjoying a draft. Trevor says "there are plenty", so those of you going after work should be fine.

Those of us stuck @ work have little sympathy for your poor multiplication skills.

Had a great time at the release, not sure who all I met, but everyone was super nice. Had both the 12 and the 14 and really enjoyed both. I think the 14 could maybe use a little time though. It was incredibly unique and I was so glad it was something kinda different from Cascade. I'm on the plane now waiting to take off for DC, and so glad I got to hit this release before I left.

From what I heard they were selling 60 Cases today (or 720 bottles) for this release, but they have more than that which will be going into the cellar and their other locations. Not sure if this is duplicate data, but i thought I'd throw it out there.

Tried the beer and it was very good, wish i had known they had the XII on draft too when I was in line, but I wasn't waiting an hour to have that again. Might stop back by after work and have another glass on draft....

The funny thing is that the bottle limit at the Barrel House is 4 bottles per person, so it almost sounds like Cascade held on to more bottles for themselves than they sent to Bottleworks.

Anyway, I bit the bullet and bought some blind (I guess it's karma since I passed on the Vlad release). Cascade usually does pretty well when Bourbon barrels are involved and since it's a one-off I figure it's worth it.

So for all the portlanders, apparently the Bottleworks bottle is what was on tap at the barrel house in pdx as the Manhattan Nw. Kinda shady
