Brewing and bottling tomorrow so to create a little less work i thought i would get the b bucket primed and ready to go today. I didn't give it any thought that it might be a bad idea untill it was done. Any problems assuming everything was sanitised etc.?
By "primed" do you mean with the sugar solution already in it? If so, that's probably not a good idea. Sugar water sitting out all night will attract plenty of microorganisms. If all you did was sanitize it, provided you sealed it up with the lid you're likely fine.
By primed i mean i put the sugar solution in the bottling bucket with the beer. Everything was cleaned and sanitised and the lid is on with an airlock. I guess i wasn't sure if the sugar would settle to the bottom overnight at all. Has anyone done this before?
You already mixed the beer and the sugar? That doesn't seem like a good idea to me. The sugar will already be fermenting, and you may lose out on some carbonation.
I agree, the yeast have got a head start on all that sugar and now you do not know how much more you are going to need to add because you do not know how much they have eaten over night. You should take a gravity reading and try to compare it to the final gravity before you added priming sugar and hope you can figure out how much more to add this morning.
