I typically keg my homebrew and charge with CO2 for a few days then start drawing pints, this has always worked great for me. So, I plan on going on a trip for about a week and would like to bring some of the kegged beer. I could fill a growler or two, but would prefer bottles so I can give a few away to friends. Has anyone sanitized bottles and filled with the keg conditioned beer? I have a piece of tubing that I use connected to the faucet to fill growlers, so I figure I will use a similar set up to fill some bottles. Any advice?

    Thanks..

Turn your pressure down to 2-3 psi after your kegs are primed. Do not forget to purge your pressure before. Chilling your bottles will help reduce foam. Take care.

This is what I do, works flawlessly once you get the hang of it:

Thats your best way to fill them if you don't have a CP or a beergun.

I wouldn't advise them to store the bottles too terribly long, but as long as you are sanitary, and work fast and don't foam too much, you should be good to go.

The method above is something similar to how Midwest Supplies told me to do it, or just a nice sanitized tube around the nozzel of your keg, insert to bottom of bottle fill, then cap. Said bottles have held for up to 4 months perfectly with both methods as it should be pushing the oxygen out of the bottle as it fills which is what you want unless you will be drinking it with in a day or two. If drinking soon just go right from tap to bottle.
