Thanks for all the advice. I was able to fill multiple bottles easy and efficiently. by far my most successful bottling off the keg. I even bottled a few extras to take golfing tomorrow.

As long as you cap on foam they will last as long as the beer will hold up, oxygen absorbing caps also help. Once filled I always put the cap loosely on while holding my thumb on it and turn at a 180 degree angle, and once co2 starts burping from under the lose cap I crimp it down. It's the same method a brewery uses to hand fill their bombers.

Question: Once I bottle from my kegerator, does the bottled beer need to remain cold. I am hoping to ship a few bottles and wondering if the temp change during shipping will affect the beer. Could use dry ice if necessary.

No. It’s no different than buying beer commercially and shipping it. It’s always better to keep the beer cold and avoid fluctuating temps but as long as it doesn’t get too hot or stay warm for a long period of time it’s fine.

I’ve traded/shipped many of beers with no ill effect.

Also, there are shipping regulations with dry ice. All packages with dry ice need to marked with dry ice and the weight. Over a certain amount it becomes a hazmat shipment. Shipping dry ice wrong could result in a fine or at least the shipping company will return your package.
