Agreed in broad strokes. They're going the first important thing perfectly: establishing a personality / narrative. I learned a lot about growing / harvesting / processing hops by talking to the folks there when I visited the brewery.

It's pretty fantastic. My growler got here (some 3 hours from Yakama) on ice some ten minutes ago. Be aware for those sensitive, there is a definite simcoe presence.

I really enjoy Bale Breaker and look forward to it being released in cans. Any ideas on 4 pack vs 6 packs? I am rooting for 6 packs, but a 4 pack of tall boys would be cool, too. Regardless, I'll be buying plenty of them. On a side note, I also can't wait for march madness. Using my best dick vitale impression: field 41 all day long BayBeeee!

Zeeks West Seattle had a keg they said was Bottomcutter Tuesday evening. I'm not a huge fan of DIPAs but I gave it a try - wasn't a huge fan but that may be me and not the beer.

Well, that would be a nice little time-warp going through the pass. Maybe a keg of Kiln 3 that's been sitting around?

A time warp through the pass would be most welcome, especially with the yearly anti-avalanche construction crap that piles up cars clear back to freaking Issaquah.

After trying Kiln Series #3, I have to say I wish Bottomcutter was based on #2. 3 is good, but I liked #2 so much more. Who knows though, looks like they have the same ABV ... could merely be a freshness issue.

Old thread, just thought I'd share. I've enjoyed a couple of growlers since March. Was curious about it getting into cans, so I emailed BB. Doesn't seem like it will be anytime soon, but someday

Here's a response to my email...

Thank you for your interest in Bale Breaker Brewing Company! We are hoping
to start canning Bottomcutter IIPA at some point; however, it most likely
won't be until we are able to increase our fermentation capacity - and right
now our building is just too small! We'll keep everyone posted as we get
    the plans in place.

    Cheers!

I'd sure like to see Bale Breaker make other kinds of beers. They made a saison once for a dinner in Ellensburg. Sure love to try it...

Had this on tap at the brewery last weekend and it was fantastic. I would buy cans of this on a regular basis. Great place to visit if you ever get a chance.

I got to try Bottomcutter last night with dinner before the Reign game. Just awesome. Great flavor yet drank like a pale. I can't wait till this finds its way into cans.

I was at the brewery Saturday and tried Bottomcutter. That's one fine imperial IPA. Can't wait for it to start showing up around town on tap.

I also had Raging Ditch which was either listed as a pale or a blonde ale. Can't remember off the top of my head but it was also very good. Had a really nice hop flavor but was pretty light overall.

We also tried Hop Nation and Yakima Craft. Hop Nation was pretty decent and had a cool tasting. Yakima just continues to fail to impresss me. The tasting room just seems like an afterthought and is just not that welcoming in general.

Bale Breaker is just far and away a better brewery and tasting room that the other local options in the area. Never has anything less than really good at BB.

Raging Ditch is a dry hopped blonde. Great stuff.

Not sure where you live but I've seen Bottom Cutter around Seattle in the past.
