I'm stoked for that whole lineup! Especially the calling, funky pumpkin, and snow and tell. I will miss double wide though, pretty solid double ipa.

Boulevard's Love child or Imperial stout!!
Anyone in Massachusetts or CT seeing love child or imperial stouts in their local stores? Would be very grateful! I screwed up and ignored them for weeks and now no local store carries them.

Dark Truth Stout- this is a good beer fresh but I left this beer in the cellar for a year and its one of the best beers I've ever had! Incredible!

I have too say the 2013 imperial stout is one of my favorites, I think it's highly under rated and those who don't think it's world class don't appreciate subtlety. Didn't realize they had a 2014, I will look around. Needless to say I am very excited for the coffee...

Imperial Stout just hit the shelves in Iowa, I imagine there will be some elsewhere soon. If you don't find any, let me know. I saw a case this week. I agree about cellaring DTS, I keep that available when I want to have someone try something new... some even thought it was a different release.

Why would anyone be skeptical of Boulevard for getting bought out by Duvel. I LOVE Duvel. If anything, a collaboration of great brewers could only lead to more and better beers. "Winning!"

The Smokestack series is the crown jewel of Boulevard Brewing Co., I can't wait to try the newest offerings Great Belgian style beer that rivals the "real" stuff from Europe and it's made in just down the road in KC, MO.

    Surprising, right?

There was a fair amount of hand-wringing around KC when it happened. A lot of stuff about it no longer being "local" or what have you. But you're absolutely right--Duvel was a great buyer; they already had a track record of success with a similar scenario in their purchase of Ommegang.

Are these Imperial stout variants going to be the same as the current and fermented with Belgian yeast, or a more traditional ale yeast.

Most will be fermented with a Scottish strain we've been using. Dark Truth will continue to be fermented with our house Belgian strain.

Is Harvest Dance effectively retired now or is going to be every other year?
