Take a look at my final review for this beer and in specific the last line:

I think you may be surprised at the results.
    Cheers!

If you have access to Carton or Kane there's no reason to go after Jai Alai. Maduro is a nice brown ale and Hunahpu is worth trying once.

I use to be able to get them easy. I dont know what happened but I don't see them in my liquor stores anymore. Miss me some boat beer! How about you, do you have easy access to Carton/Kane? O and Maybe your right about Jai Alai but I would never truly know unless I try some for my self.

Not worth heading into Jersey for those beers with OH, SingleCut, Grimm access!

There's still Jai Alai around the city if you ever come this way, though it's a beer that is ESPECIALLY good fresh.

[QUOTE="DEdesings57, post: 4164569, member: 691411"... Short story short I was really disappointed with this beer alot, I really didint like it much, and it baffles me! So much so that I wanted to ask you guys when it was bottled because It taste like an old pale ale although BB date is 02/13/16 which really freaks me out.

    ON THE BOTTLE: L09615 1021 E
    BEST BY 02/13/16[/QUOTE]

i just had this last night and loved it. (wait while I dig my empty out of the recyling bin). Different lot code; same BB date and, I think, same bottling date:
    L091615 0932 E
    BEST BY 02/13/16

Mine tasted plenty fresh and hoppy, very complex. Overall, I thought this was significantly above average for both CCB (52 ratings from me) and Boulevard (15 ratings), and I'm a fan of both breweries. It does have some unusual flavors, so maybe these threw you off. I think this is a correct description:

"Combining CCB’s expertise with tropical fruit flavors and Boulevard’s love of pale ales, Collaboration No. 5 – Tropical Pale Ale begins with a base of soft pilsner malt layered with Maris Otter, Munich and caramel malts. Huge late hopping with a blend of Mosaic, Citra, Lemondrop and Azacca lends bright flavors of mango, pear, blueberry and citrus to a pale ale featuring slightly toasted biscuit and caramel/toffee notes. Infused with freshly sliced grapefruit at the conclusion of the boil, our tropical pale ale is briefly aged on passion fruit and grapefruit at the end of fermentation resulting in a refreshing acidity and tropical fruit flavor and aroma. At 7.3 ABV and 55 IBUs, Collaboration No. 5 – Tropical Pale Ale finishes slightly tart with bright citrus character from dry-hopping with Lemondrop, Azacca and Pacific Jade hops."

Fantastic collaboration; great beer. I've bought at least 3 4 packs, and I live in the home of fresh Tropicalia.

You can also order cigar city beers including jai-alai from Lukens Liquors. Just Google the name and check out the site. I have ordered multiple times from them and always been happy.

I love to see breweries providing both of these dates. In this case, the date are apparent enough already. Still, some confusion may arise from the dumb American system of month/day/year versus the logical day/Month/year elsewhere.

Really? Given that we're located in the middle of the United States, it would be quite illogical to assume we would use a different format for providing the date.
