Does anyone have any experience cellaring this? If so, how long? Does the Belgian yeast come out more? I've got one bottle of last year's left. Boulevard has said it won't be out again till next year, so I'm just wondering if I'm better off trying it side by side with the 2014 or drinking it at one year old.

For reference, I've already had it fresh.....many times. Good stuff. This is more of an experiment on my part.

I tried a neglected bottle at about 2 years old and it was, to my tastebuds, awful. It had gotten sweet and twangy in an unpleasant way. I thought it might have turned into something more akin to Pilgrim's Dole or Smuttynose Wheat Wine. Not so much. I have one left of like age and will sit on it for long time. I figure I've got nothing to lose. Who knows? There's always a one in a million chance it turns into something else more palatable.

Despite the oak aging, I think that beer is just too bright and crisp to age well. Great when fresh.

I wondered about aging this myself, because I really like the beer and I know it's ABV is high enough to age, but everyone I have talked to says I shouldn't age it for more than 4 months. I have 3 bottles and I may save one for next winter. Tough call.

I had one aged for a year. Thought it was great. Like it better fresh, though.
