So happy they made it out here. Their Double wide dipa is one of my favorites and Dark truth is a great stout. Is everyone seeing Boulevard around town?
Seems like it. I think Max's did their Boulevard release party several weeks backs now (the sign is still up on their front door), and since then I've seen the Tank 7 around town, pretty much everywhere. I've also seen the wheat and the IPA's, but so far, that's it.
Great news. Has anyone seen it at State Line? I'm heading to the beach this weekend and that would make a nice birthday present to myself. I've been craving Boulevard since ACBF.
I saw several 4 packs at Rite Aid Liquors in Westminster a couple weeks ago. I think they were $10.99.
They had a fair amount at state line two weeks ago, so I bet they still have some. I thought dark truth and double wide were overrated, but Tank 7 is pretty good.
was in state line, they had some 4 packs of the double wide and the triple? i was in DC and bought a 22oz bottle of the Double Wide so when i saw 4 packs at State Line i was pissed at myself for not waiting, plus my focus was on Tart Lychee
They had it in State Line when I was there a month ago, the only ones I saw were the Tank 7, Dark Truth, and the Tripel. I've seen the Sixth Glass since then in other places too.. It's pretty much around now..
It's just the Double Wide, Unfiltered Wheat, Tank 7, Long Strange Triple, Sixth Glass, and Dark Truth. I did hear that we may see things like Saison Brett and BBQ later in the year.
Per talking to Boulevard at SAVOR, we won't be getting Saison Brett this year, but should in 2013. I think we will get Rye-on-Rye later in 2012.
Awesome! I've been wanting to try rye-on-rye. I guess that means we will be getting most of their special releases?
In small amounts, yes. Probably the bigger accounts like Perfect Pour/Honeygo/Stateline...I'd say Shawan but they tend to pass on special releases for whatever reason. I asked them to get the Barrel Aged Old Ruffian because my store couldn't and they told me no even though they were allocated it. Go figure. Still my favorite shop, by the way.
Boulevard seems to be everywhere in MD now (even all over my remote SoMD region). All the beer guys I've spoke to are being told that as the market grows (aka later this year/early next) they expect to start seeing the limited stuff. But unless Boulevard ups production, I dont know how much is gonna make it out here. Here's to hoping! Saison-Brett and Rye-on-Rye are pretty damn good. I still haven't been able to try BBQ yet though.
