It's out, but it depends on the market you're in. People have seen it in Nebraska, Texas and I think Illinois (?). I'd suggest emailing the brewery for your market's release details or for distributor contact information that might be able to fill you in.

Saw it today at Chambers for $18 and actually had the willpower not to buy it.

 

Yeah, Chambers has one less as of a few minutes ago...but they still had 2 more on the shelf, although they're randomly tucked behind some other stuff.

 

They are down 1 more...I was there a little while ago and grabbed one. Only 1 left sitting way in the back, somewhat hidden. Chambers is a hidden gem...

 

Anyone tried it yet? Like bourbonic plague?

 

Mr. B's posted on facebook that they have it plus surette reserva. Hmmm, I think I might stop in.

 

Very much so. When I moved out here to A-town I expected it to be a typical neighborhood store where you can get Fat Tire and Boston Lager, but not much else. But short of the really good shops in town (Lucas, Mile High, etc.) Chambers is as good as any. The fact that I can borderline walk there is great.

 

price check? picked up a bottle for 20, seems steep...

 

Chambers had it for $18.99, so it's in that ballpark.

 

It seems to be between $18 to $20 at all the stores I've seen. It's one of their more expensive bottles but IMO it is WELL worth it. I cracked one with a buddy last night and it's now in my top 3.

Bourbon + Sour =

 

$17.99 at Boulder Wine and Spirits. Had lots of bottles, I don't think there's a limit.

...I still didn't buy any though.

 

I was sad to see the gauges on the label. Love child 1 had a full funk meter. I was uunder the impression it was just a larger batch of the same brew... but the labels from 2 say no funk, all tart. I was really hoping for at least a little funkk

 

I couldn't taste any funk but the tartness is very nice. When you try this beer let it warm up for a while. You can taste quite a bit more once it warms up.

 

i'm excited to try it still, but i love the funk.

 

I only wish the bourbon was more pronounced. I couldn't taste it until it warmed up and it was very mild. Maybe with some time the tartness will calm down and the bourbon will shine through.

 

yeah, after my first sip i didn't mind the lack of funk... that shits good.
