    i'm not sure,
i had their coffee stout this past weekend and i thought it was excellent, the coffee was prominent but not bitter or overpowering, i think its about as good as non barrel aged coffee stouts get, right up their with sump and MUCH better then Speedway IMO.

Agree about Imperial Stout X Coffee. I wasn't expecting so much coffee, but geez, I was blown away by it. I'm glad it wasn't a barrel-aged stout, as I think it would have blunted that excellent coffee note.

Coffee was a bit too much in the beginning, with a cordial-like flavor similar to Victory at Sea. But the stout showed up about halfway through, bringing much needed balance. An amazing beer. To me, at least.

While I'm firmly on #teamtwojokers, I tend to agree about Entwined. I really wanted to like it given that I've enjoyed other "wine-infused" beers and even liked the Test Nelson upon which I believe Entwined was based. I'm not sure if there were significant changes between Test Nelson and Entwined or my palate memory is failing me (I only had Test Nelson a couple times at beer festivals). Either way, I was hoping for more.

Of course, Boulevard has attained Can Do No Wrong status in my mind. They are allowed to brew a beer every now and again that I don't personally like.

I didn't think Stout X was a coffee bomb by any means, but the coffee flavor is definitely there and not shy. There is a subtle dark fruit element (that I assume is from the yeast) that softens the bitterness that you often get from coffee and really smooths it out in a positive way. But it's not like some coffee stouts/porters that you'd almost mistake for cold-pressed espresso given the pungency of the coffee.

All of the Boulevard beers I've tried have been good but not spectacular.

I don't know if there is a better mass distributed american made saison than Tank 7. I might be forgetting something, but pretty sure about that.

And yes, I am "qualifying it" by saying mass distributed, but I'm on a quest to promote actual available beers on these message boards.

De Molen is a great brewery and can Nail a Barrel Aged brew.

I've actually never had any of Molens BA offerings... this needs to change.

I'm thrilled they started distributing in NJ, if only for Tank 7 alone. What a phenomenal beer! Would love to get my hands on some Saison-Brett.

I also enjoyed the sampler pack with the new "tasting room" experimental beers. The Ginger Lemon Radler was a fun beer.
