Anyone seen this in San Anton yet?

As soon as I see this in Austin, you better believe I'm posting about it. San Antonio should get it around the same time (in THEORY). Absolutely my favorite Boulevard brew.

According to my GLI Rep, there should be a Limited series coming out next week in SATX. I don't remember if it was RoR or BBQ, but I'm pretty certain that it's one of those two.

It's rye on rye. Bbq early 2013. Imperial Stout late 2013... Shhhhhhh

BBQ is on hold until the Fall - they have a Black IPA in January after the new Rye on Rye hits followed by a Coffee Ale that is taking the place of Chocolate Ale this year.

Thats right. And imperial stout will only be released if they don't run into a barrel problem again.

At least Boulevard had the sack to refund people $ for the infected bottle. I got a check in the mail from them for my infected bottle. I wish more brewers would follow their lead.

I actually meant the other issue. They were unable to obtain enough of whatever barrels they use for the imperial stout.

Not all breweries can afford to do that

Not everyone can afford to waste $14 on a drainpour. Just sayin'....

You thought the accidental Brett in the imperial stout was a drain pour? I refer to it as a tasty accident.

seems that way because it sat on the shelves for most of the last year.

which i am quite ok with.

This sat on the shelves in Houston?

No offence intended to Houston but maybe this is why y'all are getting skipped over on recent releases. This doesn't even make it to shelves in DFW. The only place I've ever heard of R-o-R sitting on shelves is Oklahoma.

Again no offence intended. I'm trying to figure why Houston keeps getting skipped over on recent releases like The Dissident and another one recently that I can't seem to remember. I believe Houston also had Black Butte XXIV sitting on shelves for awhile. I believe this could be part of the issue, just a guess though.

for your reference, i picked up some more bbxxivs at a hole in the wall spot that i knew still had some as of two weeks ago. i think it was the last of them at that place however.

the rye on rye that was out earlier in this year, i don't remember the exact date it came out, but was still hiding behind other bottles up until a couple of months ago. granted, there was boatloads of it. not as bad as say, saison brett where it's not uncommon to pick up a '11 and a '12 in the same trip. i actually went out shopping for a rye on rye for a bif a couple of weeks ago and was somewhat surprised i couldn't find one.

all of these boggle my mind. i think that a large portion of the craft drinkers in the area haven't realized that boulevard's smoketacks can be world class. however, someone on here mentioned once that the suburbs are where barrel aged beers go out to pasture, and it's true.

and like i said, i'm quite ok with being able to stroll into a store and pick up one at my leisure. i'm wondering that since they're expanding their footprint rapidly though if the quantity we see here will drop dramatically. that'll make me a sad panda.

I wouldn't compare Boulevard availability to Deschutes availability since they are carried by two different distributors.
