I was gifted this for Christmas last year, but I don't like rye beers. I tried performing a search to figure out what it's been traded for, and the only hit I got was a 1:1 for Founders FMB. I don't really know what FMB goes for either, so I'm not sure what I can fairly ask for in return. Could some of you throw a couple comparable beers out there for me? All I want to do is trade a beer I don't want for one I do.

I'm into most styles outside of rye beers.

I don't recall this being limited when it came out. It was on shelves for a little while in Chicago. That said, there are people outside of Boulevard's distro who I'm sure would be happy to trade for it.

It's pretty much a seasonal shelf turd. It's also delicious. It trades for about $14 worth of other shelf turds.

It will trade to somebody out of distro for similar shelf semi-limited stuff. Awesome beer to extra though.

As an aside, when did this beer last come out? We had piles of it for a while but I feel like I haven't seen a new batch in over a year.

OK cool - sounds like I should aim for locals. Thanks for the info!

I think my brother-in-law picked it up at the Whole Foods he works at around December of last year. I read something about the 2013 batch being due soon, but I don't remember a definitive date.

New batch has been on shelves here for a couple months, and from what I hear, they won't be making it again for several years, so stock up when you see it.

I have a regular trading partner who is ISO, so if you're in/near Chicago I could probably put together a package out out of town beers for an IP trade if you're interested.

not sure it's a good idea to trade this one "because you don't like rye beers." this isn't the rye-est of the rye. it's kind of a weird mix of hops, oak, and too much booze. if it's got some age on it the weirdly clashing hop flavors are probably a little milder as well.

nowhere near as good as, say, boulevard BBQ, but you might want to give it a try if you like BA beers.

I would take it off your hands for something reasonable.....

This.^ I had it on tap a couple months ago and rye was not a dominate flavor.

There won't be any more Rye-on-Rye through 2013, but we'll be releasing a batch in 2014.
