I've got one but haven't tried it yet. This is the first year of this beer. They previously had a Coffee Ale, but I believe this falls on their release calendar as Imperial Stout X Coffee. They will be putting out an Imperial Stout X Rum as well. This years Imperial Stout was aged in whisky barrels (not sure about previous years) and it was tasty in both bottles and on tap.

Like the 2014 release, previous releases of Imperial Stout have been a blend of whiskey barrel aged and fresh beer. This year's blend is 60% barrel aged, 40% fresh.

it's really good. One of the better non BA coffee beers I can think of.

Cool, thanks for the info. Do you know if the 2 Love Child releases this year will see a similar footprint to No 4? Imp Stout X Rum similar batch size to X Coffee?

Both Love Child releases will be available throughout our distribution network where you'd normally find Smokestack Series Limited Release beers. Yes, most Imp Stout X releases will be around the same volume.
