I live in the St. Louis Area so, Boulevard beers are quite available around me. I was wondering if anybody knew when the release of Saison Brett and Burbon Barrel Quad are? I have been looking around all the beer stores around and, haven't had any luck.

Saison Brett was released in (late) May. Not sure on the BBQ.

We got a batch of Saison Brett a couple of weeks ago in NC. Haven't seen BBQ in the state yet.

Saison Brett is plentiful in SWMO. BBQ will be released in November.

I'm gonna steal this thread a little and ask, what have you guys paid for Saison Brett in Missouri? I just bought a bottle of 2013 here in Mass, and it was 12.99. Is that about right? High? Low?

I'd say that's a good price for it.

I've seen it anywhere from $12.99-$15.99.

I just bought coffee ale, their collaboration with the Roasterie. Looking forward to cracking that open this eve

I just took the brewery tour last weekend, and asked when BBQ would be released. The tour guide said late fall Novemberish.

SB is mostly gone in the Kansas City market, outside of a couple (maybe one) stores, and $12.99 is a fair price. I don't think I've seen it for less.

Saison-Brett showed up here very briefly. I wish I had gotten a lot more. BBQ is supposedly coming out really soon. Talked to the distributor about a week ago and I thought he said he was going to get in within the next few weeks.

BBQ was not released last year though I don't remember why. They said they are aiming for a release later this year (winter-ish).

And FYI, if you happen to find any of the 2011 bottles around, don't be surprised if it's sour. My second (last) bottle was.

I can confirm that. I may be opening my 2011, and older, bottles sooner than later.

I had an infected bottle back in January and it wasn't that bad for an unintentional sour ba quad

Oh, mine wasn't bad either. Just not what I wanted it to be and not as good as it was fresh.

It's amazing this company has kept their reputation intact after so many quality control issues. Two consecutive batches of Imperial Stout had a brett infection, two consecutive batches of BBQ (apparently) had a lactobacillus infection, a quasi-recall on Chocolate Ale for (apparently) tasting like sweet peas......

As long as they don't screw up Harvest Dance I guess I'll keep buying something from them.

At least the 2011 Imperial Stout brett infection was partial, since the bottle we drank a few months back had no signs of it, which was a little disappointing actually.

So, five problems in how many years means they should not have a good reputation?

Is five really even an accurate number? I remember the 2011 Imp Stout being infected, as well as the 2012 Chocolate Ale, so that's two "known" infections.

I haven't really read anything about a second batch of Imp Stout being infected, and BBQ is a barrel-aged quad with cherries added. Some sour notes should be expected, even in a non "infected" batch.
