Boundary Bay 20th Anniversary party

    September 16th is BBs 20th birthday, and the brewery is throwing a big party. It's a Wednesday, so you out-of-towners will likely be not interested, but... There will be a minimum of 20 beers on tap at various locations (the main bar, the beer garden, and at least 2 satellite bars), various activities (including a zip line down Railroad Avenue), and general merry making.

    It happens to fall during Bellingham Beer Week, so maybe if y'all were thinking about a late summer get away for a couple days, here's an option.

    Here's the FB post for most of you (@draheim will probably miss out.:wink:)

    I'm not on FB but I can read that announcement. I will miss the event though. No mention of an anniversary beer?

    In other @draheim tech-related news, I recently got an iPhone (my flip phone finally died by drowning during a backpacking trip up in the rain-soaked mountains of Whatcom County), so now I am only about a decade behind the rest of you. Have to admit, it's a pretty handy little device. I still don't know that it's so fascinating that it would cause me to ignore the people I'm sitting with at a restaurant, but I have found it more useful than my old phone.

    Anacortes had their 20th a few weeks ago, and Maritime Pacific is celebrating their 25th this weekend.

    Damn..... I remember when they were toddlers. Time flies when you are having fun/drinking beer.

    For the heck of it, I dusted off my dog eared copy of "Good Beer Guide' and tried to figure out who was still around in Washington. I found one: Hales.

    Independent Ale/Redhook don't count. :slight_smile:

    A tasting with the Boundary Bay 20th Anniversary beer and the Bend Brewing 20th Anniversary beer needs to happen.

    Right in the middle of Bellingham Beer Week, Chuckanut's Octoberfest is the weekend prior. There is a FW Tap Takeover, Crooked Stave & Trinity Tap Takeover, and Sourfest @ Elizabeth Station as well as many, many others, going to be a great week! Congrats to Boundary Bay. Maybe I'll finally bump into @beertunes sometime during the week.

    Sadly no, just from Rumors to the end of the block. Or the end of the block to Rumors, which presents it's own set of possibilities. :wink:
