Clown Shoes Undead Party Crasher. Pretty easily available within their distro, although that's not a huge distro... do they get to Jersey?

I would say Avery has mastered the barrel aged process. One of my all time favorites besides Uncle Jacobs is the ever so yummy, Avery Vanilla Bean Stout. it is outstanding ! I am also a big fan of Fegley's Brew Works Bourbon Barrel Insidious !

I tend to agree with the others who have said that oak aged beyond pales in comparison to barrel aged, with the only exception I know of being dominion oak barrel stout which also happens to be a year round beer. It blurs the lines of stout and a rauchbier/smoked beer and I'd highly recommend trying it if anyone hasn't.

Somebody highly recommended Dragon's Milk a couple of years ago when I was just really getting into craft. I was crazy for DIPA's then and not yet ready to expand upon my palate. I'm still gaga over a good IPA but have recently been venturing into some of the stouts and am ready for the New Holland now. I downed a Kentucky Boirbon Barrel last weekend and was blown out. That subtle bourbon tug on the backwash got to me. Absolutely loved it but wanted a lil more of the Bourbon fire coupled with some nilla creaminess on it. Gonna pick some Dragon up Saturday.

I've always enjoyed the stouts from Clown Shoes, especially Undead Party Crasher... and they're always available in New England.

The best bang for your buck will be Dragons Milk.

If money is not an issue though, give Fifty Fifty Eclipse a try. This you can usually find on shelves due to the higher price, but it is an excellent BBS.
