For anyone in Ohio who wants to try this, Winking Lizard will have it at their 2014 Barrel Aged Beer Festival on Feb. 22nd for both day and night sessions.

I love Troeganator, but this sounds awful. I hate that everything is being stuffed into barrels.

Scratch #87 was wonderful, one of the best beers I remember having in a long time. The base beer is great, but the barrel aging does wonders for it. Can't wait to get some more of this! Annually no less!

Anyone know how they announce this release? Will they post in online or just have it available and wait for word of mouth?

At least with the last two Splinter releases they posted it on Facebook and Twitter. I would imagine it would be released on a Friday (Splinter Gold and Brown, Master of Pumpkin bottles were all made available on a Friday).

Don't drink it then. Simple as that. No need to whine about releases you don't like.

Looks like I might be finally making the drive up to the brewery to get this...there really need to be more barrel aged Double Bocks!

This sounds good. I'm still kicking myself over not driving to Troegs and grabbing a case of their Triple Mango IPA last summer. I may take a venture over when this is released.

After hibernating for six months in bourbon barrels, we’re excited to report that we will release Bourbon Barrel-Aged Troegenator at the brewery on Thu. 2/6 at 11am. The barrel-aging process has transformed Troegenator into a lush Double Bo...ck with undertones of vanilla, oak, and toasted coconut amid a warm blanket of tangy bourbon notes. BBA Troegenator is packaged in 750mL cork and cage bottles and available only at the brewery through the General Store for take-out as well as our Tasting Room for on-premise consumption. The price per bottle is $17.99 and there is a two (2) bottle limit per person.

Looking forward to trying this one in good old Bedford. Curious as to what the "others" will be for that event.
