I'm getting there. I don't mind putting in some time, but last night I drove to 4 different stores and nada dang thing after the first one.

I have more fun shopping when I go up north. I don't have to look for a needle in a haystack. lol

 

The Spec's in Pearland tweeted they have Hellfighter.

 

Yeah, I enjoy building relationships with retailers and visiting, but when you're going into your 15th store of the week after working all day it can be a bit of a drag. Oh well, beats the old days when we didn't have any beer worth chasing!

Today I chatted with my "work" Specs beer person and the Ben E Keith rep for about half an hour.

 

HEB in Katy (Fry & 99) had five cases at 4:30.

 

Just that Sucks is close. Possibly tomorrow at Specs.

 

In the open or did you have to ask for it?

 

Seriously, build relationships now, so later when x beer is released you can make a phone call or send a text and the beer will be yours. Its not difficult because most of the beer guys around town care more about the beer and relationships than their store making an extra $15.

 

In the open, between the wine tables in the back of beer/wine section.

 

ugh, the one place I didn't look lol. The beer guy there is horrible!

 

SOme are saying this bottled version is really "hot" in the alcohol department.. if you get it, you might want to let it age a bit...

Also... looks like Pontificator bottles are hitting stores.

 

Amen to that! Hoping the new Whole Foods gets a guy/gal who knows what they are doing and will get what customers want They better have taps!

I wasn't even looking, and a bottle of this made its way to my hands. I'm really not sure how it's so hard for some people to get beers some times.

 

From what I hear they are getting a damn good beer 'person'

 

First store (only) I went to today had 2 cases and I only asked to check, I was looking for Commercial Suicide and they had it. Apparently there is still a lot to be distributed and a lot of stores still have it.

 

shit i didn't think it was "hot" at all.

but i drink more bourbon than beer... sooo
