Bourbon barrel Plead the 5th and Regular BCBS trade value

    Thanks in advance for all inputs

    Why are these beers becoming impossible to land?

    Seems like BB4D and KBS are quite easy to get but noone seems to want to let go of their BCBS and BB Pt5th.

    Any thoughts? I thought 4 beers mentioned above usually trade 1:1

    Couple of points:
    1. BB4D is easier to trade for because the people who had access to it had access to a good amount of it, so they don't mind trading it.
    2. BCBS is widely distributed, but spread very thin. Also, people love it.
    3. BA Plead the 5th has only been released twice. Brewery only both times. The first time it was a very small amount of bombers. Somewhere in the range of 30 some bottles. The second time it was a 2 case limit of 12 oz bottles. The people who have it, love it and don't want to give it up for something that doesn't taste as good.

    Additionally, lots of people who have BCBS and BB Pt5th also had a decent shot at getting KBS and BB4D (for the most part). Classic Venn Diagram problem.

    Thanks for the info above. I have not offered KBS or BB4D (I can't get them locally either ^^), but it seems like whenever I offer something for KBS, BB4D, BCBS, and/or BB Pt5th, I only get offers for KBS and BB4D. I was able to get a few bottles of BCBS, but I had to give way over $4$ for them. Zero response on BB Pt5th out of maybe 3-4 ISO attempts.

    I had a 4 pack of BB plead. Traded two of them. When we did the BA vs the regular (2011 batch), everyone my small tasting group preferred the regular.

    Ive thrown out a couple trades looking for BCBS. Only had one bite total, the guy was willing to give up one bottle, which I rejected and chose a 4pk of KBS instead for the same bottles I offered. The threads I've starting looking soley for BCBS has been nothing but crickets. At first, Ithought it was just random chance (and the fact that I haven't tried as aggressively to land it as some others), but now I'm starting to think the 'large distro area being spread to thin' theory makes a lot of sense.
