I stashed a 4 pack from last year to compare with this year. That stuff is like crack.

Woah, that's awesome. Props for self control! I bought six at last year's release... all were gone before December.

I wish I had bought more Uncle Jacobs. I have 6 left but 2 have to go to a buddy. Avery knows how to barrel age some beer!

Rumpkin is great. Had two fresh last year and set two aside to see how it is with a year under its belt.

Glad to start seeing the fall seasonals because I enjoy them quite a bit. On the other hand, it's a bummer that they are all typically gone by the time fall actually arrives.

I've never seen or heard of Williamsburg brewing a barrel aged pumpkin. Their site also only lists regular pumpkin, so I'm guessing not.

I have three left from last years release in the cellar. I can't wait to try it side by side with this years release.

Not Bourbon, but oak aged, Jolly Pumpkin La parcela is fantastic IMO.

Is that really sour? I kinda feel like sour and pumpkin wouldn't really mix. Seems like it would just end up tasting really vegetal.

You know, I was all ready to go to CBC last Halloween for their Pumpkin Beer Fest and man was I psyched! I was in the midst of a full on Pumpkin Beer rage and really wanted one of those pint glasses to bring home, not to mention drink all that brew. Then a massive ass snowstorm hit and knocked out all the power and I couldn't get to it. Ruined my whole year I tell ya.

Oh craft beer in the 90's, err I mean 10's, you're so trendy...

I'm holding out for a bbl aged rye sour pumpkin IPL with cucumbers in wax sealed 750ml bottles - maybe next year.

La Parcella is much closer to a farmhouse ale than an American wild. It is nowhere near as sour as something like La Roja. Instead, it is earthy and funky, which goes extremely well with the pumpkin aspect of the beer.

We got some in Philly last year. I picked up two bottles and had it on tap a few times. Keep an eye out.

Tequesta Brewing put their Pumpkin beer in a Whiskey Barrel last year! Amazing. Drunken Pumpkin.

I think the OP hit on the two best BA Pumpkin brews that I've had, with Heavy Seas Great'er Pumpkin winning by a long shot. Imagine a spicy pumpkin pie made with bourbon and extra vanilla. I have two bottles left from last year and will be buying out the shelves this year.

    ISO Rumpkin
