Hey all. I have an opportunity to choose between Bourbon Barrel Aged DL or Cognac DL (both 2012). Seeing as I probably won't have the opportunity to get either one of these beers again, I was wondering what people who had one or both thought of the beers. Thanks for the help and cheers!

Well if I recall cognac was more limited so I was leaning towards that despite the 3 point difference in score and the 4.45 vs 4.57 ravg. Just wondering if anyone who tried both could point me in the right direction.
Had the Bourbon last month and while it's very good, I feel it's already on its way out. Put it this way, if you've had Murda'd Out Stout recently, that's what it tastes a lot like, minus a good bit of complexity. So if that's the case, I'd just go with the Cognac to get something potentially different. If you just want the BADL experience, you're safer going with the Bourbon version.
Who cares if its more limited? I assume he plans to drink it and not stare at it. Take the better one! I had Bourbon last Sunday and LOVED it. I can only imagine the BVDL.
I definitely plan to drink it, I just don't think it has a cognac beer before. I decided to go with bourbon DL anyway. Thanks for the help guys!
